Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is commonly known as the “feel good” factor, as its primary function is linked to the pleasure and reward responses. Its what keeps us motivated to achieve our dreams and goals, and deepest desires. Dopamine plays a major role in our mental wellbeing, and if you get your dopamine from unnatural ways, this can lead to addiction. Dopamine deficiency can also result in Parkinson’s Disease, and high levels of dopamine can cause schizophrenia.
